Make Provisioning 1.2: Version Limit Policy, Sensitivity Labels support and Alert Feature Removal

Make Provisioning 1.2 introduces site and list-level version limit policies and removes the deprecated Alert functionality.

Notable Updates:

  • Users can define version limit settings while provisioning sites and lists.
  • Removed support for provisioning lists and list items with alerts.
  • Users can apply sensitivity labels to SharePoint site during provisioning.
  • Renamed queue action labels: Repeat is now Reuse and Requeue is now Retry.

Version Limit Policy

Site and list provisioning templates now support version limit configuration. Version policies can be applied to new document libraries, existing document libraries, or both.

For site-level configuration details, refer to the Site reference. For list-level configuration details, refer to the List reference.

Removed deprecated Alert functionality

The Alert entity has been removed from Make Provisioning. Alert provisioning was deprecated and is no longer supported. Existing templates that contain <Alerts> elements should have those blocks removed before provisioning with this version.

Support for Sensitivity Labels

You can now assign Microsoft Purview sensitivity labels to SharePoint site by specifying the label GUID via the SensitivityLabelId attribute.

For site-level configuration details, refer to the Site reference.

Renamed queue action labels

The queue action labels have been updated for clarity. The Repeat action is now labelled Reuse, and the Requeue action is now labelled Retry.
